I once had a Tosta Mista in Portugal the size of a cookie sheet. It's hard to beat that. Have you tried the Chilean salad at Jumbo Empanadas? Awesome! I have tried to make it so many times and failed. How bout the pupusas down the street? Cheap and yummy. Love the slaw, Don't know the name of the place but it's the back of some latin store. You're right though. The chicken empanadas are excellent.
Also, a new discovery for me which I think comes in under $5 is either the pulled pork or brisket sandwich at Phil's Barbecue at College and Ossington. The baked beans are killer too, but avoid the coleslaw. Also has cool blue swamp smoke atmosphere.
Now I'm hungry.

Cookie-sheet sized tosta mistas? LOVES IT!

I'll try the pulled pork at Phil's (conveniently located in my hood) and the Chilean salad and if either beats my top 5, you may just have a big hug coming your way Shawn!

Thanks for commenting yo!
